For the first time in a really long while, a highly billed equation of a picnic, music and barbecue at the Source of The Nile is happening this November. Dubbed Rumour Roast Rhythm, the November 11th 2017 affair has become the talk among many party animals and in many party circles.

It is very likely that all roads that day will lead to Rumours At The Source, the event venue. We are not sure you really want to miss and here is why.

Madoxx Ssemanda Sematimba will headline the show.

Madoxx Ssemanda Sematimba will headline the show! Need we say more? Okay, he is the guy behind those sweet and soulful household Luganda reggae ballads that include Namagembe, Nakatudde, Wansonyi and Abato among others.

The 45-year-old old student of Busoga College Mwiri will be joined by a long list of acts that include Queen’s Palace’s DJ Baby Job, QKA Abey, DJ Pofia, Anthony Jermaine Thompson, Sandra K (watch out for this one) and a number of other performers.

Boat rides and water-front games will be part of the fun.

Referred to as the “Music+Meat Festival”, Rumour Roast Rhythm will be a beehive of activities as the day goes on. The organizers have promised an open-mic session (ababitegela!), a DJ showdown, boat rides, water-front games, barbecue by the best chefs around town, reptile park family tours and live music by a cover band; all this as you enjoy “Music+Meat”.

If you’ve been to Rumours at The Source, it is the hangout closest to the actual Source of The Nile and the main gateway to Samuka Island Retreat. For Rumour Roast Rhythm, the stage is going to be mounted in the water giving you a new feel or events and more space to run around and enjoy on the waterfront.

NBS TV’s MC Kats (front) will host ‘Rumour Roast Rhythm’.

More Attractions…

Ever since Edwin Katamba a.k.a. MC Kats joined NBS TV, he hasn’t hosted any event in Jinja. This will be the first time the hyped-up TV host and MC will be doing his thing in Jinja, right at Rumours Roast Rhythm. He will be assisted by Laftaz (Jinja) Comedy Lounge’s MC Nash.

Formerly at Club Amnesia, DJ Pofia has also not played in Jinja and this will be her first time spinning here. She is actually the main DJ for the midday-midnight event and will be assisted by QP’s DJ Baby Job and DJ Jose.

You can book your ticket in advance at Chicken Papa (Iganga Road), Fizzle Collection (Kampala), New Dehli (Jinja) and Source Café (Main Street Jinja) or better still call 0775411028, 0705003926 and 0704063213 and talk to or ask for Sadat.
