Wedding bells toll for Nile Breweries Limited’s Roger Sentongo

Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Nile Breweries Limited’s Roger Sentongo and longtime fiancée Emily are set to walk down the aisle next month. The couple broke the news when Roger proposed to Emily a few months back.

It has been quite the lovely romance for Roger and Emily, who met in 2013 in Jinja town where they were neighbors on Waibale Road. The romance birthed their son, Aiden Joshua Ssegawa three years ago and it has been ‘plans for the future’ since then.

The nuptials, it was announced in the first wedding meeting at Speke Courts, are scheduled for April 27th 2019 with a church wedding at St. Luke Church of Uganda in Bukaya and a reception at Civil Service College.

Roger Sentongo joined Nile Breweries Limited in 2011 starting off as an Accountant Trainee at the Jinja plant and then moved to Mbale till the end of 2013. He was then promoted to Credit Accountant and transferred to Hoima where he stayed till the end of 2015. It was in 2015 that he again rose to his current position of Managing Distributor and he is currently NBL’s Distributor Specialist managing the entire Busoga area, Kayunga, Buikwe and Mukono.

Not much is known about the extremely conservative and quiet Emily Birungi but tying down Roger speaks volumes about her.

To be apart of this celebration, it’s prudent to be a part of the wedding planning meetings that happen every Wednesday at Speke Courts in Jinja. Plans are underway to have meetings in Hoima and Kampala.
