Since the day Moses Nakintije Sekibogo a.k.a. Mowzey Radio breathed his last at Case Clinic, a couple of artistes have gotten creative and made tribute songs to the fallen talented vocalist. DJs too have gotten on the train and released tribute mixes.
In the crowd of so many tributes to an artiste who was exceptional in many ways, its really difficult putting out one as the best considering the fallen singer was an extremely talented song writer. Some notable names on the tribute train include Ziza Bafana, St Andrew, Aziz Azion, Weasel, Supremacy Sounds’ DJ Simple Simon, DJ Aludah, RadioCity’s DJ Ciza, Sammy Cool, and a host of others
That was until a couple of days back, when little-known Wendy Thelma outted a befitting tribute; a ‘Mowzey Radio Mashup’ tribute in which she samples a couple of songs the late singer did and blends them into a 4:06 minute song. The video is just but a recording of her during the studio session.
Mowzey Radio lost the fight for his life on 1st February 2018 and was laid to rest 2 days later on 3rd February 2018 in Nakawuka, in Entebbe Municipality. Radio sustained injuries from a bar brawl at De Bar in Entebbe and was rushed through a couple of health facilities before being booked into Buganda Road’s Case Clinic, where he breathed his last 10 days later. In his death, the talented musician was eulogized as one with an exceptional talent that cannot be easily replaced.
