Busoga Province qualified to the quarterfinals of the FUFA Drum tourney for the second consecutive season after a comfortable 3:0 win against Rwenzori Province.

In a fully parked stadium in Kamuli, Busoga struggled to have a cutting edge in the first half that ended goalless all square, something that increased pressure on the home side as any mistake done in the second half of the game would send them parking bags and wait for the next season. However, the last twenty minutes of the game were the pick, the talking point, the ululation period, and the jubilation time as three goals came in the game’s evening.

David Bagoole broke the deadlock in the 70th minute with a brilliant goal. Ibra Mugulusi doubled the lead in the 86th minute, and Jimmy Kulaba drove the last nail in the coffin in the 90th minute.

This put Busoga Province at 9 points collected from the three games with two wins, three draws and a loss qualifying to the next round and Alex Prichard’s boys are out with six points.
