On May 22nd 2018, we broke the story of how singer Innocent Asiimwe better known as Napoleone seemed to be going bonkers after he was sighted in a weird state on the streets in Jinja. A few days later, Napoleone was booked into Butabika National Referral Hospital.

It was a relief when a few weeks later, Napoleone, who seemed to have woke up to the hard reality that he was self destructing, made quick and steady progress. This was revealed by a close family member who had taken on the caretaker role for the time he was in rehab. He was soon discharged and continued being monitored as an outpatient.

Today, we woke up to images on social media of a healthy-looking Napoleone talking to students of St. Henry’s College Kitovu and St. Theresa Girls SS. Bwanda about the dangers of drug addiction.

“We applaud Napoleon a.k.a More Money for joining us last Friday Drugs Hapana Schools Outreach to share his powerful story on how he has struggled with drugs and alcohol,” read part of the post made by by Ann Ssebunya.

At Skizar, we ‘re really happy for Innocent ‘Napoleone’ Asiimwe, best remembered for his runaway hit More Money.
