REVIEW: Space Café on Main Street

Forget Space Café on Lubas Road. Space Café on Main Street is the new place to have good food and great coffee. It fits their tagline “Where good food and coffee is served”. Not only does this place have good and delicious food, but also a setup that is quite relaxing.

When it opened up, it wasn’t with pomp like many other eateries. We didn’t think so much of the place since no one did. But with time, a lot of people are now frequenting the place. We also decided to give it a visit.

Right in the middle of Jinja town’s happening zone on Main Street is where Space Café is. You need to note that this is an extension of the first café two roads down Main Street; Lubas Road to be precise. When you walk in, you see a mixture of Whites, Somalis, and the Jinja corporates.

The menu has a lot of pastries and fast foods. The only fault is they have exotic names. The waiters and waitresses are quick to be of help in defining what you want to have. They all speak Luganda and have a good command of English. For the Somali customers who can speak neither of the two Languages, there are some staff that are of Somali origin. It shouldn’t be a problem ordering for something here.

When the food is finally served, you do not only want to taste, but also feel it. That’s how inviting it is presented. You also have an option of choosing to have your food spiced or non-spiced. They also have soft drinks to wash down your food if its heavily spiced. The place is owned by a Muslim so do not go asking for alcohol here.

The setup and ambiance is relaxing. You can come in for a date or business meeting here. For guys that want to come in a just relax as you read a good book or work on your laptop, this is one place you need to check in. They also have Wi-Fi; you can sit down alone with your laptop or smart phone and not feel bored after eating.

Located on the Jinja Main Street, Space Café is convenient for anyone to reach. The food offering is great and affordable. The service at this cool cafe is also on point. You need to try it out.
