Purple Party Tours were a brilliant idea for Purple Party Uganda. The turn-up at Saturday’s Purple Party Tour at Trans Africa City Plaza tells the story perfectly well. It was an almost full house!
The color themed party was back in Jinja for the third time and unlike the previous events, the fun was taken to a much bigger and open venue. Trans Africa is a challenging venue for most event organizers but to borrow from street slang, bakikubye! The organization didn’t go to waste.
A rain threat couldn’t kill the vibe for anyone. That preparations that had been done a couple of days before made the FOMO go even higher. That NBS took the broadcast to the Jinja streets and hangouts gave more assurance to partiers. That artists reassured their fans on social media created the need to bond (artists and their fans.) That major brands were on board gave the party the thick skin any event needs. What else could stop the party, nassing!
“the next stop will be in Mbale on July 7th 2018 before heading to…”
The highlights of the day were when MC Kats took his stage up on the stage truss (that boy could have divided to a Chameleon situation), when DJ Roja & Slick Stuart took to the decks, when Spice Diana made a grand entrance into Jinja and when Fik Fameika got on stage kicking off his performance with Mafia (guy got lots of love from the audience.)
The Purple Party Tours are a prep ground for the December Annual Purple Party and also a platform that brings artists and fans closer in a fun, cool and urban environment. Artists didn’t disappoint at all. Jazz Mavoko, Spice Diana, Nu York, Vinka, DJs Roja & Slick Stuart, Sandra Sanjja, Shon Wyz, Fik Fameika, NBS After5’s MC Kats, comedians Madrat & Chiko, Jajja Bruce, dancer Eddy Wizzy, Mbarara’s MC Kacheche and a couple of other artists made every minute at the Purple Party Tour count.
At the end of it all, Africell Uganda, Club Pilsner, PAACO Events Plus, Pepsi, 89 Smart FM, NBS Television and Purple Party Uganda brought a good party to Jinja and it is no wonder Jinja turned up like that.
We are told the next stop will be in Mbale on July 7th 2018 before heading to the West and North of the country.
