At exactly 11:00 AM today, Jinja-based BABA Television was added onto the DStv platform and assigned Channel 374. The channel will be available to all active subscribers on all DStv bouquets effective today Tuesday 13th August 2019.
With the niche of broadcasting news, entertainment, and sports content with a focus on Busoga, BABA TV joins a couple of Ugandan media houses broadcasting local content that satisfies the requirements of MultiChoice, a major satellite TV service in Sub-Saharan Africa.
“We believe that DStv viewers will be happy to see the inclusion of another local content channel. It gives us as Basoga great pride in knowing that we have reached the caliber of content that is DStv-worthy,” said Moses Grace Balyeku, the BABA Media Group Managing Director while speaking at the launch at MultiChoice Uganda Head Office on Impala Avenue in Kampala.
On his part, MultiChoice Uganda’s Managing Director Hassan Saleh welcomed BABA TV onto their DStv platform. “It gives us great pleasure to announce that effective today, BABA TV is now available on DStv on Channel 374 to all active DStv viewers.”

Rt. Hon. Kadaga applauded the BABA TV team for reaching this milestone and encouraged the rest of Uganda to hone the TV and Radio channels in their different regions. “We should all work towards showing the best possible news and content to attract partnerships like the one we see taking effect here today between DStv and BABA TV,” she said.
In his remarks as the number one citizen of Busoga, H. R. H. the Kyabazinga stressed the significance of the milestone. “As Busoga Kingdom, we are proud of this moment and will continue to ensure that light shines on achievements of the people of Busoga.”
Just like other DStv channels, BABA TV is also now available for streaming on-the-go on smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers via the ‘DStv Now’ app giving more flexible options for active DStv subscribers to tune in and watch BABA TV.
