‘King Moses’ completes move to South Africa

After missing out on the final 23-man squad representing the Pearl of Africa in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt due to a knee injury, Vipers SC and Busoga Province’s midfield maestro Moses ‘King Moses’ Waiswa now joins South African giants SuperSport United F.C.

The 2017/18 Airtel Uganda Premier League (AUPL) player of the year has signed a three-years contract with the South African Premier League side in which Vipers SC will pocket UGX185m ($50,000) and him over UGX130m as sign-on-fee.

In the terms of the contract, King Moses will earn UGX18m per month in the first year, UGX20m per month in the second, basing on his progress, and UGX22m in the final contract year.

The erastica (a soccer dribbling technique) superstar joins a host of Ugandan players who have played for this team, including the Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango and Brian Umony. King Moses won’t be bored in Zulu-land as the country harbors a couple of Ugandans including fellow footballers Allan ‘Dancing Rasta’ Kateregga on loan at Maritzburg United F.C. and Denis Onyango at Mamelodi Sundowns F.C.
