The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Royal Highness William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV, on Saturday, 22nd June, 2019 instituted the ‘Busoga Roll of Honors’ for Basoga and people of Busoga who have distinguished themselves in public life as transformational leaders, servants and an inspiration to Busoga.
The Honors, categorized in three tiers, were awarded to 13 Basoga at a ceremony held in Bugembe Stadium.
The ‘Sir William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope II Medal’ was awarded to individuals and organizations which have transformed the lives of many through distinguished service. The ‘Source of the Nile (Eninha ya Kiira) Medal’ was awarded to achievers and innovative individuals and organizations who have promoted and preserved the pride of Busoga. And lastly, the ‘Omwoyo Gwa Busoga Medal’ was awarded to exemplary individuals and organizations that have diligently protected, nurtured and upheld the Busoga culture, heritage, and selflessness.
