News reaching our Politics Desk is that a renowned and youthful businessman, Emmanuel Joram Kamugisha has intentions of contesting for the Jinja West Parliamentary seat, currently held by moneybags Moses Grace Balyeku.
In a phone chat with this website, Kamugisha, popularly called Gish, responded in confirmation to our prodding. “Yes. I’m going to contest for Member of Parliament representing Jinja West Constituency. More to this will be communicated.”
A Jinja-bred, known businessman in Jinja, and vibrant youth, Emmanuel Joram Kamugisha has had his head deep in NRM Politics in Jinja for quite some time now and his network of friends in both low and high (like real high) places only gets stronger by the day. He will have to tussle it out and win in the NRM Primaries in 2020 if his bid for the parliamentary seat is to hold any water.
