With just about three weeks away to Uganda’s premier art festival and Africa’s independent island festival, Bayimba International Festival of the Arts, the festival curators have unveiled the artiste and programme lineup for the 4-days festival.

Happening from 1st to 4th August, this will be Bayimba Festival’s 12th edition, and the second one at their new home in Lunkulu, Mukono, a space that offers a much bigger space for unwinding, besides consuming the 360-degree arts showcases that include music, poetry, drama, theatre and film, art installations, fashion, partying, et al.

For the entire festival, there will be an Audio Visual Installation by Just A Hub and Annika Rachor will have a The Walls We Built installation. There will also be a Bloggers Retreat workshop that will run for the entire festival duration.

To unwind and take in Lunkulu Island to the max, Lunkulu’s Beach Area will be the hive for soccer, volleyball, board and card games, and face-painting while the Jungle Area will have a Healing Hub by FitcliqueAfrica

The other attractions at the festival will be Festival Backdrops, one by Wamala Kyeyune at the Center Stage and another by Just A Hub at the Bukunja Stage, and PopUp markets and exhibitions across the island.

The question then is, have you secured your Festival Pass? If not, get one now online via Jumia, Quicket, Xente, and if you are in Jinja, get tickets at The Deli located at the Post Office.
