Our very own Alfa Tymz is set to host the first Jinja edition of the-now annual Rolex Festival. The renowned radio and television host at BABA Media Group revealed this in a 58-worded Sunday post on Facebook at 11:12 AM.
The Rolex Festival, now in its fourth year, is coming to Jinja for the first time. After a successful event on August 18th, 2019 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, the festival is now going regional and Jinja will be the first regional stop.
The Rolex is a popular food in Uganda that combines an omelette and mainly vegetables rolled in a chapati. Given that it is quick to prepare, a Rolex can be eaten at any time of the day, be it breakfast, lunch, supper, or snack.
The popular food event is a brainchild of Enid Mirembe, Miss Tourism Busoga 2015/16, and was awarded ‘Food Event of the Year’ at the 2019 Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards.
